About This Project

The Bigger Picture was an initial collaboration of Progress, Mark Peters, students from H House, and Larkhall School, Vesna Parchet, Krum Baglesky, Ruben Pires, and Barry Reigate. Our idea was to work with a group of children from both local schools and get them to represent the journey between Stockwell and Balham tube station, with London based underground public artists. The success of the project in motion and subsequent exhibition, led us to replicate the idea with FerArts and local school children from the Ladbroke Grove. This artwork has been since used to decorate community work “pod” on Acklam Road, leading up to Portobello Market. This has been a very successful process with high impact results, for the young people involved.
